What Is Wash Dry Fold?

Wash Dry Fold (WDF) is a drop-off laundry service. You bring in a bag of laundry. We wash it, dry it, and fold it for you. You pick it up ready to go — clean, folded, done.

At Ponderay Laundromat, here’s how it works:

• Price: $1.75 per pound, $15 minimum
• Turnaround: 24 hours
• Hours: Drop off any day, 8am–10pm (last wash accepted at 8:30pm)

Why This Makes a Great Gift

There are a few ways to do this:

What Goes in Wash Dry Fold

Most everyday clothing is perfect for WDF: shirts, pants, socks, underwear, towels, sheets. Basically anything you’d throw in your own washer at home. We handle it with standard detergent and standard settings unless you note any preferences.

A few things to know:

• Let us know if there are items that shouldn’t go in the dryer (delicates, wool, etc.)
• If something needs special detergent due to allergies or sensitivity, just mention it when you drop off
• We don’t steam or press garments — clothes come back folded, not ironed

While She Waits

Sandpoint in May is a great time to be out. If Mom drops off her laundry in the morning, she’s got a full day free before pickup. Downtown Sandpoint, the waterfront on Lake Pend Oreille, a walk around City Beach, or just a quiet afternoon with a book and no laundry to worry about. That sounds like a pretty good day.

WDF is available every day. A lot of our regulars use it weekly — busy families, people who work long hours, folks who just don’t want to spend their evenings folding. But Mother’s Day is a good excuse to introduce someone to it for the first time.
